  1. This is some tryhard movie speech bullshit right here. There are many video games like Alien Isolation, and yes, they are video games. You hardly talked any specifics about the game, by the way. Is this supposed to be a review? And that's not how you pronounce patronizing, Derek, quit patronizing me.

  2. Target had this game on clearance last summer for four bucks, so I figured I'd take a chance since I enjoyed the Alien movies. This game blew my mind. As slow paced as this game is for the majority, it's intense throughout! I played this game in the dark with the surround sound on, and it was awesome, especially hearing the xenomorph walking about haha. This game definitely went under the radar, a definite hidden gem!

  3. This is one of his worst review…. all he does is philosophy about "we're not alone" concept which is old as dirt, and blabbler about how little action there is. no wonder most ratings were critical of this game.

  4. Shame CGR Undertow had to be put to rest. It took me a while to warm up to Derek, but he grew a lot over the past years, and this review is among his best work. Oh, and the game is amazing, too 😀 . Like Ridley Scott's classic film, it's an almost meditatively paced experience that involves a lot of sitting tight and quietly staring into empty, foggy corridors. And I wouldn't want it any other way.

  5. I just finished this game. I can honestly say that I haven't felt relief and satisfaction in other games after finishing certain parts. But then again, I also can't count the times that I rage quitted. If you like to play something without the pressure of getting killed all the time, don't play this.

  6. I bought a PS3 to play this game. And this is without question the quality of review that it deserves. It's not just a game – it's an experience. I wsh I could like this twice!

  7. This game uses low SSAO like standard plus the shadows make the FPS drops all the time….I notice that sometimes SSAO low?!

  8. How does this perform in general on PS3? is there any annoying frame rate drops in it and if there is are they only few and far apart or a fairly constant annoyance?
