A Rather British Review - Adventure Time: Secret of the nameless Kingdom (3DS/ Xbox 360/PS3)

What time is it? Zelda time!

Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom - Fnu Reviews

  1. The problem I have with this game (2 dungeons cleared in) is the game does nothing to clue you in on how to play it. Even games that don't hold your hand should at least clue you in on how the mechanics work. I beat A Link to the Past on the SNES with no guides or cheats when it came out, but this game frustrated me to no end in the second dungeon. The constant getting stuck because cleared rooms often lock when you revisit or re-enter them, and the constantly re spawning enemies make it an endurance test. A few signposts and hints would have been nice to at least point you in the right direction, but this game does none of that.

  2. Is the game zelda 1 hard or Lttp hard?

Because zelda 1 'difficulty' was complete bull shit. Lttp actually was fair and gave you time to react to things and the puzzles actually made sense. If this game is like lttp I would definitely get it on my 3DS

  3. I'm really glad to see you rate this game well. I'm 36 and grew up with my c64, amiga 500, nes, snes and megadrive. I've been looking at this game for a while with hesitant eyes due to my experience with explore the dungeon. love zelda and 8bit graphics. it's just dropped to £10 in asda which led me to research reviews which led me here. you sold me on it and I'm getting it tonight. thanks for the review.

  4. I'd like to buy an adventure time game for my girlfriend's birthday, but she's more of a casual gamer, won't the difficulty be too much to handle for her? I was thinking of getting her Why did you steal our garbage? Instead.

  5. I'm a huge fan of Zelda and Adventure Time so this game looks perfect for me. I'm going to get this very soon !

  6. Sooo this is the Finnish cap? Also why such bad end musics, obviously some things are too high and distorted.

  7. born in the late 80s saw this on sale on XBL for 20 bucks…idk im from that era where games looked like this and where super hard only 3 lives for 30+ hours of gameplay (okay maybe not actually 30 but for my feeble mind it took me ages) so i wanted to check this out…i might just pick it up for nostolgia purposes the game really looks like a NES 2.0 game

  8. Great review mate, I saw tthis in ASDA and was in two minds but now knowing its old school 8 bit and zelda(ish) and Axe Battler has sold me! 😉

  9. I love Adventure Time, and really enjoyed Hey Ice King, Why'd You Steal Our Garbage. Not really a fan of the normal Zelda games though, so this looks like a pass from me. Nice review! 🙂

  10. Welcome to the Zelda formula…Same stuff different veneer, only this time there's no Nintendo hotline to shake you by the ankles for whatever spare change you've manage to hold on to. When the committee sat down to design this thing they neglected to factor in the early pay-to-play/pay-to-win model of Nintendo's telephone hotline number.

  11. they have it for 30 on ps vita which is SUPERIOR with the dual analog and more buttons.

  12. I got it for christmas and hearing it was like Zelda made me consider keeping it instead of returning it.  I was skeptical that it would be too simple or easy but hearing what you have to say really makes me interested in how complex it may be.  I will look into it a bit more before I make my final decision but so far I like what I am hearing.  I like hard puzzle games and old school Zelda is one of my favorite kinds.

  13. After Explore The Dungeon Because I Don't Know I was cautious about wether I want to get this game and this review backed me up (mostly). I like the show despite Season 6 not being as good as the ok Season 5 and great Seaons 1-4
