I have a very old Xbox 360, 2nd generation (I bought it the day after Christmas, the first Christmas it came out)

I’ve had it for a long time, and did have to send it in once, but I’m sick of having problems with it.

It makes very loud noises, screeching and almost crunching noises. It actually scratches up and in a couple cases cracked the inner little clear part of the disc

My current system is like a monster, I put brand new discs in, (Halo 3, Saints Row) and it’s like it chews them up and spits them back out

So what I was thinking was to sell my old 360 to buy a brand new one, so I won’t have this problem

do you think this is a good idea? I’m not completely sure yet.

  1. I don’t think anybody would want to buy it in this condition, or maybe they would I don’t know. People buy anything and everything from ebay, broken or not. You could just get it repaired. Microsoft will probably just send you a new console. The repair costs will likely be cheaper than buying a new console.

  2. Microsoft is fixing any problems with the Drive in xbox 360. Call them up and tell them there is a problem with the drive. That you put Halo 3 in, Brand new, it comes out and there are all these problems. most likely you well get a refurbished one. (probably a year or so later). But it shouldn’t have this problem. It might have to pay, but not as much (maybe $150) to get it fixed.

But again thats cheaper then a new one!

And unless you lie to people, nobody well want to buy it! And you are just screwing somebody else, because you don’t want to call microsoft.
